Penitent is a project run by Karsten Hamre from Norway, one of the highly respected individuals in the ambient music scene. Karsten is also known for his other various projects like Arcane Art, Dense Vision Shrine, and Karsten Hamre (a project under his own name).

Penitent music can be described as a soundtrack including monumental ambient, orchestrations, instrumental and industrial, however it tends that each CD release vary somehow by musical style.

Most of his releases were released through various Record Labels like Dark Vinyl (DE), Memento Mori (DE), Thonar Records (DE), Eternal Pride Prod (RU), First Fallen Star, Hydra (UK), and more.

Our Touch

As this release was expected to deliver some calm tunes and haunted sonorities, we had to deliver a result that matches with the music and of course with the composer's views. The final result can be described as a soundtrack visualised through artwork - a mystical haunted/ghostly movie straight into a CD booklet, which makes it a collector's item.
